Top Apps in the Apple Ecosystem
Like every year, Apple shared the list of top apps in 2022 across all the categories and its devices. While some are expected in the list, some are truly surprising. BeReal, for instance, getting the top spot in a social category is an interesting find. This is probably because of its typical mechanism of asking users to post pictures taken at random times – thus being real. The France-based app even alerts the users at random times of the day to do so and has support for capturing photos with both front and rear cameras simultaneously. And similar to last year’s “Apps that brought us together”, Apple introduced a new section this year – called “Cultural Impact”. This category includes apps like How We Feel, Home Stories Project, etc., which have been culturally impactful. While you can find all the top apps across categories here, we mention below the top downloaded apps in free and paid categories in the US.
