TikTok is evaluating how creators make stuff around these games and how users interact with them. Currently, there are 9 games for creators to choose from, with many coming soon if this testing goes well.

TikTok is already a pioneer in the short-video making industry, as it grew humongous in a short span. Most of its niche features are adapted by rival giants, leaving TikTok with no choice but to explore other means to be in the top spot. In this pursuit, the platform started a bunch of games in certain areas to make the experience more engaging. Now, it’s expanding this to a few more regions (including the US) with additional games. Talking to TechCrunch, a TikTok spokesperson said; TikTok has partnered with Voodoo, Nitro Games, FRVR, Lotum, and Aim Lab – the maker of a popular aim training app. Its TikTok game called Mr. Aim Lab’s Nightmare is simple and focuses on making the player improve his aim.

As of now, there are no ads or in-app purchases in any game since TikTok is at the initial stage of testing. The platform wants to learn how creators make content around these games and how users interact with them. The Verge noted that players could record their gameplay and share it as a fresh video, too – paving the way for more content ideas and game challenges. And ByteDance having partnerships with more gaming companies, we may see more such additions made to TikTok sooner or later.
